The Borovo silver treasure was discovered in 1974 by Traicho Velikov Stoev while cultivating land 2 km from the village of Borovo, Bulgaria.

The machines used damaged the treasure, but after the professional intervention and precise work of the restorers the treasure was restored. 5 silver vessels with partial gilding with interesting shape and decoration were found.

On two of the finds there is an inscription that gives the opportunity to date the Borovo Thracian treasure.

The Borovo silver treasure dates back to the middle of the 4th century BC. from the time of the Odrysian king Kotis I.
